Head of Storytelling, muru-D
About Melissa Pye
Melissa’s spent 30+ years crafting brands and telling stories for multinationals in Australia, Singapore and South Korea, as well as her own businesses. Her first startup in 2004 saw her create the first automotive platform in Australia for women consumers. Through this business she experienced the highs and lows of entrepreneurial life with founder breakups, more pivots than a dancer and ultimately secured an investor. She gained national media exposure for her trailblazing initiatives and innovative solutions to a widespread problem. Since then she’s guided women through the magical maze of startup land and hosts a podcast cast called “Mums with Bright Ideas”.
Melissa is currently Head of Storytelling at muru-D, a startup accelerator backed by Telstra that develops big thinking tech entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact on the world.
