About Jacqui Gray
Prior to joining council, Jacqui was an international management and business consultant, corporate trainer and market analyst; she returned home to South-East Queensland in late 2015 after 16 years in Japan and the UK. Currently the Smart Centre Officer for Sunshine Coast Council, Jacqui is responsible for both internal and external communications and promotion of council’s Smart City Framework.
Passionate about engagement, strategy development, innovation and growth, Jacqui has worked for many prominent organisations including Queensland Government, Department of State Development (Tokyo and Brisbane Offices), Eclipse Computing (Tokyo), UK Trade & Investment (UK), William Grant & Sons (UK) and Pera Consulting Group (UK).
Jacqui was Managing Director of JMG Consulting (UK) Ltd for 14 years, providing specialist international business consulting and training on sales and marketing strategy, change management, leadership and business process efficiency. Jacqui’s skills and experience were recognised when she became Founding CEO of Global Business Circle before returning to Australia.
As well as holding BAs in International Business and Commerce, Jacqui is a certified ISO 9001 QMS Lead Auditor and has qualifications in Market Research & Export Management.
