About Dawn Routledge

Dawn Routledge is the NSW Government’s Acting Government Chief Information and Digital Officer (GCIDO). As the government’s most senior technology executive, Dawn leads and defines the long-term vision for digital government and ICT across the public sector. She is responsible for building digital capacity and integration across the public sector, and implementing the NSW Innovation and Digital Government strategies.

Dawn has held roles as Executive Director, Policy and Innovation and Director, Information in the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation’s ICT and Digital Government division. She developed and implemented whole-of-government reforms in ICT, information management, corporate and shared services, and procurement.

Dawn has over 20 years’ experience in the public and private sectors in NSW, the Cayman Islands and the United Kingdom. She holds master’s degrees in Arts and Law from University College London and the University of Northumbria. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a professional member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.
