About Anthony Wong

Anthony Wong is a futurist, lawyer and technologist advising on the emergent issues from the convergence of the cloud, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) including privacy, cybersecurity and data protection, intellectual property and licensing.

As a lawyer and ex-CIO, Anthony shares his unique insights and skills with corporations, start-ups, organisations and governments; manoeuvre on new business models, digital transformation, legal and regulatory compliance in the rapidly changing digital landscape of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

He is the Past President of the Australia Computer Society (ACS) and serves on various boards; member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Law Society of New South Wales, chaired the New South Wales Government ICT Advisory Panel and served on the Australian Government IT Industry Innovation Council.

He is a Fellow of the ACS and graduated with combined degrees in Law and Computer Science from Monash University, and Masters in Intellectual Property (UTS), in Media, Communications and IT Law (UNSW).

Anthony is a commentator on topical issues on various print and online media, radio and TV, and speaker at national and international forums including recently at the UN Internet Governance Forum in Geneva on AI, IoT, Cybersecurity, Smart Cities and Privacy.
