About Kim Hetherington

Kim Hetherington is the STEM Partnerships Program Manager at CSIRO, Australia’s leading science agency. The national volunteer program brings real science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills into the classroom through ongoing flexible partnerships between teachers and STEM professionals. The program has delivered more than 4600 partnerships since 2007.

Kim has over 20 years experience in vocational education and training across a broad range of sectors including resources, civil construction, energy and telecommunications. She is a keen advocate for promoting the importance of STEM education in Australia schools and is passionate about increasing the number of women studying and pursuing a career in STEM.
