About Dr Stan Goldstein

Dr Stan Goldstein is a medical practitioner with extensive experience in health services management and design, and Associate Prof (Conjoint), School of Public Health UNSW.

He has been an advisor to NSW Health in health services planning and funding, Director of Clinical Services in teaching and tertiary referral hospitals, including Westmead and POWH, led initiatives to improve health outcomes and chronic disease management program evaluation, been a national advisor on health technology assessment, and has 15 years experience in the private health sector.

He has worked actively in medical education and public health, and with a variety of non-government health bodies to improve population health, including beyondblue, National Stroke Foundation, Cancer Institute NSW, Arthritis Australia, and the Australian Disease Management Association.

His passion for innovation in health service delivery and design has supported health outcomes improvement across a range of medical fields from mental health to cancer, paediatrics to end-of-life care.

For over a decade he has been developing and exploring the use of digital technology to support and deliver improved health outcomes. Examples include the FoodSwitch app, the Prima Health Integrated Osteoarthritis Program, digitally supported workplace wellbeing programs, and digital programs to assist in perinatal mental health.
