CeBIT Visitor Registration Now Open

CeBIT Australia Back for 2010: Bigger and Better Than Ever

2 Feb 2010

Visitor registrations to CeBIT Australia 2010 officially opened this week with the total number of visitors expected to eclipse the 35,000 mark.

To encourage businesses to make better informed decisions as they recover from the global financial crisis, CeBIT 2010 is offering complimentary entry for visitors who register before 15 March, 2010.

CeBIT Australia 2010 will be larger than any previous event with exhibition space divided into 16 Super Categories including GeoSpatial; Mobile Office; Cloud, Data Centre & Hosting; and CeBIT’s Security World.

Building on the success of last year’s conferences, CeBIT 2010 has expanded its Global Conference Series to seven conferences including AusInnovate, eGovernment, eHealth, Enterprise, Executive Briefing, National Broadband Network and Web Marketing.

Key speakers in the line up of over 120 local and international presenters include CTO of Amazon, Dr Werner Vogels; Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy and Chairman of ASX, David Gonski.

This is the first year for the Executive Briefing Conference, specifically designed for top-level business leaders to hear from Executives from the top Australian and International companies, and to have the opportunity to network with like-minded executives.

Executive Briefing will provide high-level executives with insights into what technologies are driving the business strategies of globally recognised companies.

The National Broadband Network Conference is also making its first appearance at CeBIT Australia, as industry continues to discover the new business opportunities made available through this $43 billion government infrastructure project.

CeBIT Australia 2010 is seeking to continue the current strengthening trend of Australia’s ICT Sector, building on the Australian Computer Society’s report finding the nation’s growing trade deficit reflects Australia’s increased reliance on technology.

The ACS 2009 Australian Trade Update found that ICT is “forecast to be the most prominent industry in the world in the near future.”

The report further said that the ICT industry in Australia accounts for 4.9 per cent of national economic contribution, which is more than the mining, electricity and banking and finance sectors.

Currently there are 400,000 Australians employed within ICT industry business, and CeBIT will provide the platform to continue growth within the industry and ensure current and future jobs are stable.

CeBIT Australia 2010 is set for May 24-26, 2010 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Register now to CeBIT 2010 to take advantage of the limited complimentary exhibition entry offer to the number one business technology event in the Asia-Pacific.
