CeBIT Australia 2010 kicks off

24 May 2010

CeBIT Australia 2010 kicks off today with a fantastic line up of leading national and international ICT and Government leaders set to speak during the three day exhibition.

Sydney’s Darling Harbour is once again adorned to promote the event, CeBIT flags taking pride of place on the city’s flagpoles to signal the return of the nation’s largest annual event for the information and communication technology industry, CeBIT Australia 2010, from May 24-26.

Over the weekend a steady stream of local and international government figures, leading industry experts and the general public arrived in Sydney for this year’s exhibition.

CeBIT Australia 2010 is hosting a variety of exciting show floor exhibitions which promise to help each and every visitor gain new insight into the ever evolving world of ICT and find out how, through the application of these technologies, businesses can dramatically improve their productivity.

Once again the exhibition floor will be complimented by the CeBIT Global Conferences program, with three new explosive conferences added to the already immensely successful program from last year. These conferences cover everything from ‘Cloud’ technology, to eHealth and eGovernment debates and discussions, to the new National Broadband Network.

The event kicks off today with an all-star Opening Ceremony, with special guest NSW Premier Kristina Kenneally to speak alongside national and international industry heavyweights Dr Werner Vogels, CTO Amazon Web Services, Dr Lutz Heuser, Executive Vice President SAP AG, Mr David Gonski AC Investec, and Mr Alan Kohler, EIO Business Spectator.
