Ian Harvison

Chief Information Officer, Komatsu Australia

Ian Harvison is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd responsible for both the tactical and strategic deployment of all ICT within Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. Ian leads a team of 23 professional internal resources providing key business solutions to the $1.6b organisation as well as out-tasked service providers for Service Desk and Cloud Computing solutions.

Ian, who has had many years experience in senior IT management. Ian is currently Vice Chair of the Australian SAP User Group. In addition he has undertaken tutorials in Information Systems at UNSW as well as delivering training in Disaster Recovery as a certified disaster recovery expert.

Ian holds a Masters of Business and Technology from the UNSW, where he is currently a PhD Candidate within the School of Information Systems Technology and Management.
