Glenn Archer

First Assistant Secretary, Australian Government Information Management Office

Glenn Archer rejoined the Australian Public Service in 2002, after a career in management, sales and engineering at a number of major IT suppliers including Cisco Systems and Apple. Immediately prior to joining the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO), Glenn was the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

At AGIMO, Glenn leads the Policy and Planning Division and is responsible for a range of policies and programs aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Australian Government ICT activities. Since joining AGIMO in June 2010, Glenn has led the work on a range of key policy and governance areas such as Cloud Computing and Open Source Software.

Glenn has a BSc degree with majors in Computer Science and Pure Maths, from ANU and an MBA from the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales (AGSM).
