David Ryan

Executive Officer / CIO, Grampians Rural Health Alliance

David has been a leading figure in Health Informatics for 15 years working both for Government and Industry.

Over the past 4 years the Grampians region have seen a step change in the way that health services are being delivered, in part enabled by the underlying telecommunications network and through the establishment of telehealth in the region.

David joined the Alliance after a career leading the health and community services sectors in IT reforms, previously working in the Victorian HealthSMART program at DHS, leading the HealthConnect project in Victoria and representing Victoria on State and National e-health initiatives. David came on board three years ago from another senior leadership role within Victorian government as Director Information Management and Technology for Community Services with responsibilities covering the Children, Youth and Families and Disability Services portfolios at the Department of Human Services.

David has a passion for the use of technology to support the changing environment of supporting staff and clients across health and community service sectors.
