Alan Williams

Director – Products and Technical Services, Blink Mobile Technologies

With almost 30 years in the IT industry, Alan’s experience runs from systems engineering, project management and product marketing to sales, team leadership and senior management. Alan started and ran TIBCO Software Inc. in Australia and Asia. His Australian-based development team developed an Energy Trading system for the new national energy market that was bought by almost half the electricity generators in Australia. As a Vice President of TIBCO, Alan drove the company into energy markets worldwide.

Prior to TIBCO Alan started Teknekron Software Systems in Australia, growing it to become the one of the largest providers of bank trading room information systems around Asia with over 50 trading rooms including clients such as NAB, HSBC and Credit Suisse.

Alan is a Director and owner of BlinkMobile Interactive. You’ll find him involved in Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales Support and even Training from time to time. As the original systems designer and architect of Blink’s Mobility Platform you’ll find him just as comfortable huddled down with the Technical Team as well as out with clients and partners. In addition to BlinkMobile, Alan is very involved in education, being on the boards of a private school and a not-for-profit Training Organisation providing government programs, and has served on the University of Newcastle advisory board.
