spatial@gov® Conference October 2010, Canberra

spatial at gov

Location as an Enabler for Government Business

Examining spatial capabilities in developing government policy, delivering programs, enhancing service delivery and streamlining business practices.

Geospatial technology is integral in every corner of the business world and across government, with up to 80 per cent of information managed connected to a specific location in some way. By contributing over $12 billion to the Australian GDP, the geospatial industry is a key player in the nation’s new economy.

The Leading Geospatial Event

Combining a wealth of experience, the Australian Spatial Consortium and CeBIT Australia have joined in partnership to stage spatial@gov® Conference 2010. This is the only geospatial event organised in conjunction with the peak organisations in Australia and New Zealand representing the public, private, research and professional sectors of the spatial community; including ANZLIC—the Spatial Information Council (representing all governments of Australia and New Zealand), and the German Government (through global associate Deutsche Messe AG).

The spatial@gov® Conference will feature a high profile array of Australian and international speakers, all experts or practitioners in employing geospatial technologies to enhance the business of government.

Held over two days, featuring a combination of case-study presentations with interactive workshops, and offering four presentation streams for the ultimate tailored experience; the spatial@gov® Conference is the spatial industry’s leading event.

And for the first time, the Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) will be held in conjunction with the spatial@gov® Conference. The APSEA awards recognise significant achievements of individuals and organisations in the Asia-Pacific region engaged in the spatial information industry.
