eGovernment Forum
Delivering open government
This forum will take place on Tuesday 25 May 2010.
Why This Conference?
CeBIT Australia’s eGovernment Forum, Australia’s peak annual public sector technology summit, is organised yearly by Hannover Fairs Australia in conjunction with the Australian Government Information Office (AGIMO) within the Department of Finance and Deregulation. It is a highlight event of CeBIT Australia’s Global Conference Program, and draws high-level participation and attendance from all levels of Government and from the key Government departments involved in setting Australia’s future technology agenda.
In 2010, it’s fifth consecutive year, it will again tackle the issues facing Australia’s significant use of ICT – the largest single market within the national ICT sector.
Senior officers in government agencies will take away an understanding of:
- The ‘whole of government’ approach to ICT
- The benefits and limitations of social media in government’s collaboration and participation with the community
- How open access to public sector information will be a driver in the process of transformational government
- How cooperation and collaboration at the international and cross-jurisdictional level are helping to produce efficiencies, innovation and knowledge sharing
Gain Industry Insights
- eGovernment will examine how new technologies are impacting on how government does business with the community
- It will focus on the practicalities of open government and the issues of transparency, accountability and efficiency
- The forum will provide insight into local and international initiatives that are enhancing the role of technology within the public sector in Australia and overseas
