Laurence Millar

Laurence Millar is a widely regarded leader with 35 years experience in executive management, consulting and programme management in the public and private sector in New Zealand, Australia, Asia Pacific, USA and Europe. He was responsible for leadership of the New Zealand e-government programme from 2004, until he resigned from the position of Deputy Commissioner and New Zealand Government CIO in May 2009. His recent work in government includes the development and implementation of the New Zealand e-government strategy and oversight of government ICT expenditure and advice to Ministers on the major IT investment portfolio, totalling $2bn.
